This kind of lifestyle might work for hard core bodybuilders, athletes, or college students, but for the average person who has a full time job and a family to take care of, spending 2 hours driving to and from a gym is not very practical.
On top of this time consuming dilemma, you’re paying at least $400 per year on gym memberships when you can easily get a great workout in the comfort of your own home with just your bodyweight. No more driving, no more waiting for equipment, and no more distractions!
I usually just wake up in the morning, get a quick, 30 minute workout, then just go the rest of my day. It’s actually easier for me to get and stay in shape because now I have absolutely no excuses not to workout. The only excuse would be my own laziness.
The majority of people out there would benefit greatly by starting a home bodyweight fitness program. You can get started with basicpushups, pullups, and bodyweight squats. But trust, me these exercises will get too easy very quickly.
Instead, focus on more difficult movements such as the quad squat, one legged squat, see-saw, elliptical side lunge, updog snap, lower body russian twist, side plank on forearm, springing tripod twist, frogger, sliding lunge, jump squat, and V Press.
